PLANNING: AUDIENCE RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE
The purpose of this questionnaire was to gain a better understanding of the interests of our audience. Therefore, in this questionnaire I asked questions that help to build a general audience profile. By segmenting our viewers into certain demographics and movie interests I can begin to form a better view of our audience. Once I have enough information from this questionnaire I can then begin to plan and research how to make my movie opening in a way that attracts and addresses the viewers. This questionnaire alone wont be enough for a clear understanding of who our target audience is, however, it is a great starting point to carry out other planning tasks and research.
From this audience questionnaire I am able to to create a profile for my target audience. Creating a profile for my target audience is useful in order to make my film sequence appealing to the viewers. The results from this questionnaire shows that my target audience fall in the age group under 35. Although the results show that there is more male's contributing to the final result of this questionnaire, I would say that my target audience is unisex as the difference between male and female viewers are marginal. It is clear that the the genre's crime and drama are predominately favourable by my target audience.
